In the Czech First League, Vlasij Sinjavskij and his Bohemians 1905 team suffered their first defeat of the season, falling 0-2 at home to reigning champions Slavia Prague.

The 28-year-old Estonian international featured in his second match for his new club. After a strong debut last week in a win against Ostrava, Sinjavskij faced a tougher test on the left flank in the Vršovice derby.

Bohemians started the match actively and had a golden opportunity in the 19th minute when Czech striker Václav Drchal broke free one-on-one with the goalkeeper. However, after rounding the keeper, Drchal struck the post instead of an open net. This missed chance shifted the momentum as Slavia Prague began to dominate and create chances.

The breakthrough came in the 39th minute. Following a long ball, Bohemians defender Adam Kadlec misjudged a header, allowing Lukas Provod to intercept and confidently place the ball into the far corner, giving Slavia a 1-0 lead.

Bohemians went into halftime needing at least an equalizer, possibly even a lead, but they failed to capitalize on their chances. Slavia, on the other hand, converted theirs.

Early in the second half, Slavia doubled their advantage. Another long pass caused problems for the Bohemians defense, and this time it was Czech international forward Vasil Kušej who finished clinically. After a brief VAR check, the goal was confirmed, making it 2-0.

Despite efforts from Sinjavskij and Bohemians to regain a foothold in the match, they were unable to score, continuing a frustrating streak against Slavia Prague. Since April 2021, Bohemians have yet to earn a league point against the champions.

Sinjavskij played the full 90 minutes. His next opportunity to represent Bohemians will come next Saturday when they visit Teplice.
