RFS have loaned out the 25-year-old Latvian keeper Frenks Orols to Grobiņa until the end of the season.
Orols started his 2025 Virslīga season at the recently promoted side Super Nova. He joined the club on loan from RFS alongside Jevgeņijs Miņins and Mamadou Sylla.
During his time there, the Latvian started all 19 games, keeping a clean sheet three times and helping Super Nova maintain its spot just above the relegation zone.
Although the initial agreement was for him to stay until the end of the season, following a backlash between Super Nova’s head coach, Ervīns Pērkons, and the RFS board, RFS called him back this month, along with the other two loanees.
Now the 25-year-old keeper joins Viktors Dobrecovs’ Grobiņa in hopes of securing their place in Virslīga next season. Grobiņa currently sit 8th in the league, just one point above Tukums and two points above FK Metta.
