FC Flora Tallinn has announced via the club’s official website that Estonia U21 national team striker Tony Varjund will continue his stint with Dutch side FC Utrecht on loan.

The 18-year-old forward initially joined Utrecht on loan on this year in January, linking up with Jong Utrecht, the club’s reserve team that competes in the Dutch second division. During the recently concluded season, Varjund featured in five matches for the reserves and also appeared for the club’s U19 side, where in his only match he found the net against AZ Alkmaar’s youth team.

Before moving to the Netherlands, Varjund spent the past three seasons with Flora, making his first-team debut at just 15 years old. In Estonia’s top-tier Premium Liiga, he made 38 appearances for the green-and-whites, scoring nine goals. Last season alone, he featured in 29 league matches, netting eight times and providing four assists.

On the international stage, Varjund has represented various Estonian youth teams making 23 appearances, scoring six goals.
