The 2025 Latvian beach football season gets underway on Saturday, June 29, with the opening stage of the Jūrmala Cup at Majori Beach. The tournament is organized by the Football Tournaments Association (FTA) in cooperation with the Riga Football Federation (RFF), under agreement with the Latvian Football Federation (LFF). The Jūrmala municipality is also providing support for the event.

Teams can register by completing the application form available on the tournament’s official website. Forms must be submitted via email to the tournament’s main organizer ([email protected]) or in person on match day between 10:15 and 10:45 AM.

The next two stages of the Jūrmala Cup are scheduled for July 12 and 26, with the finals set for August 3. The top eight teams across the first three stages (based on points accumulated) will qualify. The finals will take place alongside the Latvian Women’s Beach Football Cup and the traditional Busel Cup youth tournaments in the U-14 and U-16 age groups.

Last year’s men’s Jūrmala Cup went to FK “Beitar” while Riga FC Women won the women’s trophy.

Players aged 16 and older may participate, though those under 18 must present written parental consent. Teams may register up to 10 players per stage, and squad changes are not permitted between stages.

Each squad may include a maximum of three players who are either active in the current Latvian Beach Football Premier League or have appeared on the official roster of the Latvian national beach football team this season. This rule does not apply to players born in 1985 or earlier and those born in 2005 or later.

Participation is free for youth teams (players born in 2005 or later) and women’s teams.

The Jūrmala Cup is also an opportunity to compete against local football giants such as Riga FC, who boast the country’s strongest beach football club – Riga Beach Soccer Club (Riga BSC) – and RFS, who regularly enter with academy squads.

The 2025 Latvian beach football competitions are supported by Sportland, SYNOTtip, Zelta Teļš Grill Restaurant, Mežpils Non-Alcoholic, Stelpes Natural Mineral Water, Eskimos Ice Cream, and the party venue FOX in BOX.
