Lithuanian star Gvidas Gineitis came off the bench in Serie A as Torino FC were unable to continue its three-game winning streak, being held to a 2-2 draw against the bottom-of-the-table side Parma Calcio.

Torino had lost their previous two league games, one against AC Milan—where Gineitis scored the game-winning goal—and another against Monza, 2-0. In today’s match, they faced Parma.

The first encounter between these two teams occurred two months ago and ended in a goalless draw. However, the match today unfolded differently, with Torino scoring an early goal thanks to North Macedonian star Elif Elmas, who netted his third goal in his first four games with the club.

In the second half, Parma equalized when Mateo Pellegrino scored his first goal for his new team.

In the 69th minute, Gvidas Gineitis was called upon to enter the match as a substitute. Just three minutes later, former Southampton forward Che Adams scored, giving Torino a 2-1 lead.

Unfortunately for Torino, the celebrations were short-lived as Mateo Pellegrino scored his second goal of the game, leveling the score once again.

The 20-year-old Gineitis has made 21 appearances in Serie A this season for Torino, contributing two goals and one assist.

Following this draw, Torino remains 11th in the league table with 35 points. With ten games left in the Serie A season, their next match will be next Saturday against Empoli.
