Newly promoted A Lyga team, FK Riteriai will need to find a new manager, as Polish specialist Slawomir Cisakowski has left the club by mutual agreement after one season.
Cisakowski joined Riteriai at the beginning of the season and led the team to a dominant performance in the Pirma Lyga, securing their promotion to the A Lyga. After the announcement of his departure, Riteriai’s sports director, Vytautas Masaitis, stated, “This decision was made because both sides had their own reasons. We value Slawomir’s contribution to the club, so we thanked him for his efforts and wished each other success as we move forward.”
Before moving to Lithuania, Cisakowski served as a youth coach for Slask Wroclaw and Everton, as well as an assistant manager for various Polish clubs. Most recently, he was an assistant to Marek Zub, a name well known to Baltic football fans, at Polish club Stal Rzeszów.
