FCI Levadia, the Premium Liiga champions, have been quite active a few days after the league season’s conclusion. Today, they announced a contract extension for 21-year-old Brazilian defensive midfielder Alexandre Lopes Gomes. Gomes joined the Estonian champions in March 2024 from Atlético Mineiro’s U20 team and made 26 appearances during his debut season.

In his first campaign with Levadia, Gomes recorded one goal and one assist. His contributions were essential to the team’s midfield, helping them secure their first Premium Liiga title since 2021.

Gomes is one of the players set to continue with Levadia next season. In the past few days, the club has also confirmed contract extensions for veteran defender Ken Kallaste, forward Richie Musaba, Frank Liivak, and Robert Kirss.
